Raw data for 3D-AFM on mica and AqpZ 1.1 and 2.1 datasets were directly acquired from the home-built auto-retract 3D-AFM, which are measured on mica and AqpZ, respectively. They includes system setup information as well as 4 groups of raw data for subsequent calculation of dissipation force, which are amplitude(r), phase(phase), height(auxin1), X-scan signal(auxin2). 1.2 and 2.2 datasets were processed results of 1.1 and 2.1 after MATLAB codes, which include 3D matrix of amplitude, phase, energy, force. 1.3 and 2.3 datasets were the force 3D matrix saved as tiff files, which can be displayed using customized IgorPro scripts or ImageJ. 3D-AFM averaging raw data and results 3.1 dataset is the demo input to test the 3D averaging code from the link below. It is directly taken from dataset 2.2. This file is updated in version v1.1. 3.2 dataset is the processed results of the 3D averaging code, which is plotted in Figure 3 in the main text. MD simulation results 4.1-4.3 datasets are the MD simulation results of water distribution around an AqpZ embedded in lipids. The detailed information of the MD simulation can be found in the main text of our publication. MATLAB codes to process the data, IgorPro scripts to display the data is uploaded to Github with intructions: https://github.com/mrz104001/3D-AFM-codes. A link to a paper analyzing the data and describing the findings will be provided after acceptance.
