Dataset: A global daily three-dimensional chlorophyll-a dataset from January 2021 to December 2023

This global daily three-dimensional chlorophyll-a dataset from January 2021 to December 2023 (filename: Y_phy_2021_2023_interp.mat) was inverted by our chlorophyll-a random forest model (filename: best_model_8891.mat). This is a machine learning-based method for merging satellite and Argo data to extend surface chlorophyll-a to depth. Figure 1 shows the global chlorophyll-a distribution at different water depth derived from the reconstructed dataset in 2023. Figure 2 shows the chlorophyll-a profile of the Atlantic Meridional Transect. Figure 3 shows the chlorophyll-a profile of the Equatorial Pacific.
