A subgrid correction scheme for accurate km-scale coastal inundation in the Energy Exascale Earth System Model - Model input and output files
收藏资源简介:
This data set contains the input and output files used to run the Model for Prediction Across Scales - Ocean (MPAS-Ocean) for three test cases in support of a paper entitled: "A subgrid correction scheme for accurate km-scale coastal inundation in the Energy Exascale Earth System Model". The test cases are: Parabolic Bowl (idealized verification case from Thacker (1981): https://doi.org/10.1017/S0022112081001882 ) Subgrid: 20, 10, and 5 km resolutions (with and without ramped flux limiter) Standard: 20, 10, and 5 km resolutions (with and without ramped flux limiter) Buttermilk Bay (regional case with tidal forcing at boundary from Kennedy et al. (2019): https://doi.org/10.1016/j.ocemod.2019.101491) Subgrid: 576, 256, 128, 64, 32, and 8 m resolutions Standard: 576, 256, 128, 64 and 32 m resolutions Hurricane Sandy (global case forced with tidal potential and atmospheric winds/pressure from CFSv2) Subgrid: 45 to 5 km resolution mesh with 1 km regional refinement the United States Mid-Atlantic Bight, subgrid corrections from 3 m CUDEM and 30 m CCAP LULC data, global bathymetry from GEBCO 2023. Standard: Same as above without subgrid corrections Water level observations: USGS and NOAA-COOPS
