Variables and indicators of volcanic risk perception in the Vesuvius area

The dataset represents the collection of responses from a structured survey campaign conducted across 43 municipalities in the Vesuvius area, aimed at investigating the perception of volcanic risk. The overall sample includes 10,905 respondents. The dataset is organized into three principal domains: demographic characteristics, control, and risk perception. Each domain is associated with a set of indicators and corresponding variables. The variables represent individual questionnaire items, while responses are encoded as ordinal values, thereby enabling quantitative analyses for the assessment and modeling of volcanic risk perception.
