A statewide geospatial bridge inspection and vulnerability dataset for Florida (1900 - 2024)
收藏资源简介:
This is a statewide geospatial dataset of bridges in Florida that integrates bridge inventory and inspection information with environmental and social exposure indicators. This dataset was compiled to support reproducible, spatially enabled research on transportation infrastructure by harmonizing multiple publicly available data sources into a single, standardized structure. Motivation: The driving force behind this dataset stems from the fragmented nature of bridge-related data, which are frequently dispersed across distinct administrative, hazard, and demographic datasets and are not easily usable for integrated spatial analysis. Although official bridge inventories from the NBI offer a wide range of structural and inspection characteristics, they are rarely presented in a way that makes it easier to link them spatially with information about flood hazards or community-level vulnerability indicators. The problem it solves: This project creates a unified dataset for individual bridges with unique identification, structural, inspection, traffic, flood exposure, and social vulnerability values. With the ability to be updated in the future as new inspection data becomes available, it aims to facilitate a variety of analyses in transportation, infrastructure resilience, hazard exposure, and spatial planning.
