Effect of CO2 fractional laser combined with recombinant human epidermal growth factor gel on skin barrier and serum C-reactive protein in acne scars

We conducted a retrospective analysis of 105 patients with acne scars admitted to our hospital from July 2018 to August 2021. Among them, 51 patients who received CO2 fractional laser treatment alone were assigned to the control group, while 54 patients who received a combination of CO2 fractional laser and rhEGF gel were assigned to the observation group. We assessed treatment efficacy, symptom relief time, skin barrier-related parameters, pre- and post-treatment inflammatory factors, treatment-related adverse reactions, quality of life two months post-treatment, and treatment satisfaction in both groups.
