Abstract The Digital Earth Australia Water Observations Multi-Year Summary - Wet Count dataset shows how often water was detected in clear satellite images. This dataset is part of the DEA Water Observations Statistics (WO-STATS) suite, which includes: Water Frequency - The percentage of clear observations where water was detected. Clear Count - The number of times an area could be clearly seen. Wet Count - The number of times that water was detected in clear observations. The dataset uses Landsat satellite data from 1986 to the present. It helps understand environmental processes like drought by showing where water has been observed in the landscape in the past. Each pixel location is analysed statistically to derive both the count of clear observations and the count of clear-wet observations, and these are used to calculate the percentage of clear observations that were also wet.
