NRS-12709 | "Descriptive Narrative" [Sydney Opera House]

This series comprises typescript reports by Jørn Utzon (architect). The reports covers all aspects of the Sydney Opera House. The conception of the building, exteriors, glass walls, patron's access, major hall, minor hall, bar and lounge areas, floors, ceilings, equipment etc. Most of these aspects have a work planning progress report on: sketch plans (whether completed), client's approval, working drawings, structure (whether in progress), structural design, detail design, interiors, furniture and other relevant features. The reports also include a copy of, "Description of Mechanical Services Installations and Report on Work Planning Programme" by Sydney Opera House consultants, Steensen and Varming (mechanical and electrical engineers). There are three copies of Utzon's report which vary slightly in form. (2/8644 A-C).
