资源简介:
Phosphorus is a vital nutrient for plant growth, but it is often locked up in the soil, making it difficult for plants to access. This research investigates how different varieties of common bean, which vary in how efficiently they use phosphorus, influence the microbes in the soil that help release this nutrient. By growing two bean types in both fertile Amazonian Dark Earth (ADE) soil and agricultural soil, the study looked at how these plants impact soil bacteria, particularly those that mobilize phosphorus. The results show that plants can shape the microbial communities in their roots, boosting phosphorus availability based on the type of soil. This highlights the potential of selecting crops that enhance natural microbial processes to improve nutrient cycling and sustainable agriculture.
