Dataset for: Determination of COREXIT Components used in the Deepwater Horizon Cleanup by Liquid Chromatography-Ion Trap Mass Spectrometry

COREXIT 9500 was analyzed by high-performance liquid chromatography-ion trap mass spectrometry with electrospray ionization. Two components, dioctyl sodium sulfonate (DOSS) and diproylene glycol butyl ether (DGBE), were isolated from ocean water spiked with COREXIT 9500 by solid phase extraction. Ocean water samples were collected at Grand Isle, Louisiana at an oil-impacted beach; however, no traces of COREXIT were identified. This dataset contains concentrations and corresponding m/z areas of integration of DOSS and DGBE. Dataset is in support of publication DOI: 10.1039/c4ay00257a.
