All the files necessary to generate the analyzes of this study are available here. The estimated phylogenies reinforce the need for an ample review of the systematics of the family, in particular the amply-distributed species that are considered to be valid taxa, but may in fact represent a number of different cryptic species.Table S1: Codes, species, origin and genbank accession codes for the sequences utilized in the present study. In bold, all sequences generated in the present study. The sequences in red were used for the TMRCA of COI dataset.Table S2: Gene portions, primers pairs, references and amplification protocols from each marker used for the study.Fig. S1: Bayesian inference (Bi) trees of Cytb (A) and RAG1 (B) of Gymnuridae family utilized in the present study. For both trees, only support values above 85% for Maximum likelihood and above 0.9 for a posteriori values are shown.
