This atlas is designed to serve a threefold purpose: to present in graphical form a segment of the large volume of oceanographic data collected during the Barbados Oceanographic and Meteorological Experiment (BOMEX); to inform potential users of the quality and character of these data, which are now available from the BOMEX Temporary Archive; and to provide a new partial description of an important part of the tropical ocean that lies at the confluence of waters from many sources. 1972 OAR (Oceanic and Atmospheric Research) Library Public Domain 1874
