Subplan Heat Reduction Grid Map

The heat reduction subplan is one of three subplans (cf. Cold Air System Subplan and Part Plan Relief System), which together form the plan for technical planning for heat reduction. Conceptual statements on how to avoid overheating in the entire urban area are formulated in the subplan heat reduction and provide impulses for the future development of the city of Zurich. The focus is on the human need for pleasant living quality in the outdoor space. NOTE: In the context of STRB No 178/2020, the heat reduction technical planning, including sub-plans, supersedes the planning principles and recommendations adopted in the context of the KLAZ 2011 with STRB No 1384/2011. **Purpose**: The heat reduction sub-plan is a comprehensive plan that shows the need for action on the one hand and, on the other hand, links all urban structure types and open space categories to the respective portfolios of approaches to action. Thus, it is apparent to every public and private actor where measures to reduce heat are necessary or recommended in the city. Reference scale is 1:15 000.
