The objective of this study was to evaluate the diversity of tick-borne protozoa in the Republic of Korea by using 18S rRNA metabarcoding. From the 13,375 collected ticks which was pooled into 1,003 samples, 50 tick pools were selected for 18S rRNA gene metabarcoding targeting the V4 and V9 regions using the MiSeq platform.
