Before luminaires leave the factory, performance parameters of floodlights designated for Hahn Cathedral are collected, and the energy efficiency index (EEI) of this luminaire type is analyzed to determine its energy efficiency grade, so as to meet the lighting demands of this specific scenario, guide the optimization of luminaire design, and enhance both energy-saving performance and service life.
1. Data Source: Prior to factory shipment, finished floodlights intended for Hahn Cathedral are randomly sampled, and parameters including input voltage, current, luminous flux, and power factor of the samples are collected.
2. Data Processing
(1) Energy efficiency grade analysis via EEI calculation based on collected parameters:
EEI = P·PF/Pref = I·V·PF/Pref;
Where P denotes the rated power of the luminaire, PF is the power factor, Pref is the reference power of the luminaire, and Φ_use represents the effective luminous flux of the luminaire.
When Φ_use < 1300 lm: Pref = 0.88√Φ_use + 0.049Φ_use
When Φ_use ≥ 1300 lm: Pref = 0.07341Φ_use
(2) Energy efficiency grading standards:
Grade A++ if EEI ≤ 0.11; Grade A+ if 0.11 ≤ EEI ≤ 0.17; Grade A if 0.17 ≤ EEI ≤ 0.24; Grade B if 0.24 ≤ EEI ≤ 0.6; Grade C if 0.6 ≤ EEI ≤ 0.8; Grade D if 0.8 ≤ EEI ≤ 0.95; Grade E if EEI > 0.95.
3. Data Application:
The energy efficiency index is one of the core indicators for evaluating luminaire energy efficiency. Prior to factory shipment, EEI-based analysis is conducted to match the lighting requirements of the floodlight application scenario for Hahn Cathedral. Additionally, this dataset can provide data support for manufacturers to optimize luminaire design schemes, thereby enhancing energy-saving performance and extending the service life of the luminaires.
