Gut Microbiome Sequencing of Wild Rodent Species

This project presents 16S rRNA gene sequencing data derived from fecal samples of three wild rodent species: the brown rat (Rattus norvegicus), the striped field mouse (Apodemus agrarius), and the Chinese white-bellied rat (Niviventer confucianus). The data were generated to characterize and compare the gut microbial community structures across these species, providing insights into host-specific microbiota profiles and ecological adaptations. All sequences are publicly available to support research in microbial ecology, host-microbe interactions, and biodiversity studies.
