This was a 10-day daily experience study of 118 parents of children 4-, 8-, and 12-years old. Parents were recruited from the Greater Toronto Area. Parents were recruited based on previous involvement in a developmental lab study in which their child had taken part. The sample was 80% women, 47% Caucasian, and with a mean age of 41 years old (SD = 5 years). Parents answered daily questions about their parenting goals, emotions, and well-being. Ethics approval was obtained from the University of Toronto, Mississauga (protocol number 26281).
