Microbial community profiles of algal bacterial biofilms exposed to suspended solids and heavy metal stress

This dataset includes high-throughput sequencing results of microbial communities in algal-bacterial biofilms cultured on carbon fiber substrates and exposed to different concentrations of suspended solids (SS). The experiments were conducted under controlled aquaculture conditions and sequencing was performed on day 14 before and day 8 after treatment with Mn(II). 16S rRNA (bacterial) and 18S rRNA (microeukaryotic) amplicons were analyzed using the Illumina MiSeq platform. This dataset provides insight into the structural shifts and functional diversity of biofilm-associated microbiota under SS influence and heavy metal stress.
