资源简介:
Eighteen pollen samples were analyzed from the Blue Point Bridge Archaological Site, a large Hohokam habitation site. The site was permanently occupied during the Sacaton phase (AD 900-1100) and possibly toward the end of the Santa Cruz phase (AD 700-900). Five functionally distinct spatial components were identified and features from three of these components were analyzed for pollen. Pollen analysis was conducted to identify specific biotic resources used at the site. In addition, data was sought concerning practices used to process the various resources. The pollen record was also examined for similarities and dissimilarities between the various features and components. Evidence was also sought to address seasonal use of resources, and hence contribute to an interpretation of seasonal or permanent occupation at the site.
