Number of barber and beauty salon vocational schools in Japan 2015-2023

In 2023, there were 275 vocational schools with a beauty salon faculty and 89 with a barber faculty operating in Japan. While the number of beauty salon faculties remained stable in the past years, the number of beauty salons was increasing and the number of barber shops was decreasing.
