The series comprises architects' plans for proposed hotels, and plans for alterations and additions to existing hotels, that were submitted for approval to the Wagga Wagga Licensing Court.The plans include elevations, sections, and floor plans. Many are coloured, using water colour tints, although there are also non-coloured plans. Most plans include details of the name of the hotel, its location, name of the architects, type of plan, scale, and date.The plans are arranged alphabetically by town within the Wagga Wagga district, and then alphabetically by hotel name. Plans of hotels with no names are placed at the end of the town entries.
