Wild Devil Recovery Project – Devil Island Projects Group: Enclosures

‘Devil Island Project Group: Enclosures’ is the fifth component of the Wild Devil Recovery Project under the Save the Tasmanian Devil Programme. The project will support the release of captive-bred devils to reinforce wild populations through: a) Construction of 3,200 metres of transportable enclosures to support the release of devils into Wild Devil Recovery Zones; and b) Construction of two free-range enclosures to house devils while they receive trial immunisation therapy treatments to reduce the risk of infection with Devil Facial Tumour Disease prior to their release into the wild.
