资源简介:
Cognitive impairment is a rising concern among the elderly, affecting daily activities and increasing the risk of dementia. While the benefits of transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) are well-established, the effectiveness of Brain Gym exercises remains uncertain. This study aimed to evaluate the effects of tDCS and Brain Gym exercises, both individually and in combination, on cognitive function in older adults. A randomized controlled trial was conducted with 30 elderly participants, divided into three groups: tDCS, Brain Gym exercises with cognitive training, and cognitive training alone. The interventions were administered three times a week for four weeks, with cognitive function assessed before and after using the Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MOCA) and the Trail Making Test. Significant improvements in cognitive function were observed in all groups. The combination of tDCS and Brain Gym exercises with cognitive training showed the most significant improvement. No notable difference was found between the Brain Gym exercise group and the cognitive training-only group
