资源简介:
This dataset contains qualitative data from a study of parents of children with special needs in Trinidad and Tobago. It captures their lived experiences, challenges, and the impact of caregiving on physical, mental, and emotional well-being.
Data were collected via semi-structured one-on-one interviews conducted virtually through Zoom. Participants (n=15) were recruited using purposive and snowball sampling through community organizations and advocacy groups. Inclusion criteria required active parents caring for children with special needs, including adult dependents. Interviews were audio-recorded with verbal informed consent, transcribed verbatim, and anonymized.
The dataset is organized as follows:
- Text excerpts: Table format, Coded Data: QDA Miner coding tables, Analysis Outputs: Theme summary tables (.pdf)
- Documentation : consent form (.pdf), Interview guide (.pdf)
Data were analyzed using QDA Miner through thematic coding. Excerpts were coded, categorized, and synthesized into themes addressing research questions. This dataset provides comprehensive insights into parental stress, social support, and health impacts and can be reused for secondary qualitative analysis, cross-cultural studies, or methodological research.
