This series consists of Parliamentary briefing notes and an annotated set of Ministerial briefing notes. The Ministerial briefing notes deal with such subjects as: the structure and functions of the Department; administration and budgeting; schedule of administrative and programme initiatives, 1984-85; funding for the Department; efficiency and effectiveness review; reviews of the range of Departmental programmes; general issues; and, briefing notes on organisations associated with the functions of the Department (such as the Youth Minister's Council and Child Protection Council). The Parliamentary briefing notes were prepared for the Autumn Session of Parliament, February 1986, and are divided into sections dealing with adoption, children, the disabled, general issues raised, welfare and youth.
