资源简介:
Chronic wasting disease (CWD) has recently been diagnosed in Norwegian wild reindeer, moose, and red deer. In moose and red deer, the disease has occurred sporadically, affecting older animals. Several national and European research initiatives have been launched to investigate the genetic influence on CWD occurrence, with a particular focus on the locus where the prion protein gene (PRNP) is located. In addition to this, high-quality sequence coverage of the entire moose genome is a valuable tool and prerequisite for more extensive studies of this previously unrecognized form of CWD and moose biology in general. Here we present a scaffold genome of the European moose comprising 1823 scaffolds with a total size of 2,545,527,021 nt. BUSCO analysis using the eukaryota_odb10 database asses this scaffolded genome in a 98.8 % completeness.
