Galgeun-tang (GGT), a traditional herbal formula, modulates the liver-gut microbiome axis to ameliorate hepatic lipid metabolic dysfunction in HFD fed mice

Galgeun-tang (GGT), a traditional multi-herbal formula, has historically been used in Korean medicine to treat febrile and musculoskeletal conditions. C57BL/6J mice were orally administered GGT for 2 weeks prior to 8-week HFD challenge. Multi-omics analyses, including gut microbiome profiling (16S rRNA sequencing) were performed.
