Habitat regeneration, Clarence Town Wetlands, ex-Pony Club and Wharf Reserve

This project seeks to reverse years of neglect and environmental degradation to an area previously inappropriately used by removing intrusive weed/vegetation growth; protecting and providing a buffer for ecological communities and endangered species; encouraging the return of native fauna; and helping to better control Williams River bank erosion and water quality for drinking purposes. The Green Army team will also help to control storm water run-off including wetlands water quality and sedimentation control processes; and provide opportunities for community education and community involvement.
