Unique visual materials for the research of the cultural heritage of Judaism in the former Poland

Testimony of presence – database of Judaica from the collection of the Polish Academy of Sciences
The resource includes materials that testify the presence of Jews in Poland, including photographic and drawing documentation, created before World War II by Polish organizations and institutions dealing with the protection and inventory of monuments of art (Society for the Protection of Monuments of the Past, Department of Monuments of the Border Guard Society, Central Inventory Office, offices of regional monument conservators). The entire resource will be digitized, and the obtained digital versions of the record will be placed in the repository of scientific documentation, available on-line. Thanks to the appropriate set of metadata and keywords, the resource will be an easily searchable and widely available collection of data on the art and culture of Jews in Poland.
