By detecting indicators related to the steel strip gap rate and conducting corresponding calculations, the actual steel strip gap rate of each product batch can be obtained, which helps enterprises grasp production conditions and strengthen quality control. Random sampling inspection is implemented for every batch of products. The outer diameter and steel strip width are measured on the same cross-section, and six measurement points are selected to carry out the steel strip gap detection. The actual measured average gap △L of each sample is calculated as △L=(L1+L2+L3+L4+L5+L6)/6. The ratio of the average gap width to the steel strip width is the F value. The calculation formula for the elongation at break of copper wire is (△L/d)*100%. If the steel strip gap rate of the sample passes the inspection, the cable steel strip gap rate of this batch is judged to be qualified.
