We studies the effect of gamma radiation doses on the gut microbiota of Bactrocera cucurbitae as the microbial community plays an important role in the fitness of insect hosts. In this study, the bacterial community structure of B. cucurbitae was profiled using Illumina HiSeq sequencing of 16S V3V4 rRNA genes of non-irradiated and irradiated flies.
