Environmental Values in Specially Valuable Areas in the Sea Areas (SVO)

The Norwegian Environment Agency has defined particularly valuable areas identified through the management plans for the Barents Sea and Lofoten, the Norwegian Sea and the North Sea and Skagerrak. On behalf of the Faglig Forum, an interdisciplinary expert group with participants from eight research institutions, led by the Institute of Marine Research, has conducted the environmental valuation assessments in 2021. The data set “Environmental Values in Special Valuable Areas in the Seas” shows all the environmental values defined in connection with the proposed revision of Specially Valuable and Vulnerable Areas (SVO) in Norwegian waters in 2021, described in the report https://www.hi.no/hi/nettrapporter/rapport-fra-havforskningen-2021-26.
