Genome sequence of Streptomyces lividans TK23. Streptomyces lividans strain:TK23

Complete genome sequence of Streptomyces lividans TK23 was obtained by single-molecule real-time sequencing (PacBio RSII) and the reads were assembled by Canu/Celera Genome Assembler. S. lividans TK23 is a Gram-positive filamentous actinobacteria and conditionally produces undecylprodigiosin, actinorhodin, and desferrioxamines as secondary metabolite. The genome sequence of S. lividans TK23 was used as reference of natural mutagenesis study. Mutagenesis study was performed to identify the genes responsible for resistance against antibiotic as well as induced activation of secondary metabolism in S. lividans TK23.
