RNA-seq analysis of wildtype and GPD2 knockout cancer cells

Our purpose of the RNA-seq analysis in WT and GPD2 KO was to observe the overall changes in cancer cell's metabolism. In perspective of metabolomics, the RNA-seq result showed that there is not much change in carbohydrate and energy metabolism, such as glycolysis, galactose metabolism, and oxidative phosphorylation, and there was more change in lipid metabolism, especially in steroid boisynthesis and ether lipid metabolism. In the meaning of Gene Set Enrichment Analysis by KEGG pathway, almost half of Top 20 significantly enriched pathways in 4T1-GPD2 KO cell line was signaling pathways. This RNA-seq analysis between 4T1 WT and GPD2 KO has proven some significant changes in cell metabolism and pathways. Overall design: Examination of changes in metabolism by GPD2 KO in cancer cells
