The module was completed by three groups of students from two different University Colleges (n=17 in total). After completing the entire module, each group had a discussion regarding their perceptions and expectations concerning this simulation module. The online learning module was deemed brief and concise by the students, who also found it to be a valuable resource for obtaining background information on the subject matter. The good-practice video was generally considered as positive, but was also perceived differently by the students. Some students find it a useful tool, others find it too guiding. The scenarios were found to be well-crafted, providing sufficient medical information while remaining recognizable, detailed, yet allowing students some flexibility. Students themselves experienced the taboo about euthanasia once they are in their roles during the simulation. Finally, the debriefing process is regarded as a significant benefit for assessing one's own attitude within this context and ultimately enhancing their clinical reasoning abilities. Overall, the students found this simulation module an added value for their education and further careers as nurses. The students expressed their satisfaction with the in-depth coverage of the sensitive topic, which was presented without any taboos or sensationalism.
