Hydrogen usage share by sector in Europe 2020

Refineries are the largest users of hydrogen in Europe. As of 2020, refineries accounted for nearly half of total hydrogen consumption across Europe. Foodstuffs, glass industry, power stations and other related industries only make up six percent of current hydrogen use, despite its huge potential for the energy and transport fuel sector.
