LCA data sets of a preliminary study of four different test specimens: Application of the PBF-LB/ process for metallic additive repair and refurbishment

As part of a study published in the Journal of Cleaner Production (https://doi.org/10.1016/j.jclepro.2023.138630) on the environmental sustainability of the repair and refurbishment of metallic components using PBF-LB/M technology, four test specimens were additively repaired or refurbished and evaluated using an LCA. The results of this preliminary study can be found in the data set in raw data and in resource, time, and process-optimized form. The LCA was carried out within the ‘cradle-to-gate’ framework using the ReCiPe(H) midpoint indicator set and is based on a material flow-based analysis using the ‘umberto LCA+’ software.
