Amphibian responses to introduced trout

This dataset refers to an experimental study conducted to assess the effects of introduced rainbow trout (<i>Oncorhynchus mykiss</i>) on tadpoles of the native showy leopard frog (<i>Lithobates spectabilis</i>) in Mexico. The study included three laboratory experiments designed to analyze:a) Effects of trout visual cues: behavioral changes of <i>Lithobates spectabilis</i><i> </i>tadpoles were evaluated in the presence and absence of visual cues emitted by a rainbow trout (Sheet 1).b) Effects of trout chemical cues: responses of tadpoles to chemical cues emitted by trout through water (Sheet 2).c) Long-term effects of chemical cues in interaction with tadpole density: the experiment evaluated how trout chemical cues and tadpole density influence growth, development (Sheet 3) and survival of tadpoles (Sheet 4).
