Data associated to Genetic signatures of population marginality in four European conifers
收藏资源简介:
The repository contains files related to the study "Genetic signatures of population marginality in four European conifers", namely the marginality index raster maps of four conifers (Pinus pinaster, Pinus pinea, Pinus sylvestris, and Taxus baccata), and a R studio script. The marginality index raster folder (Rasters_4sp.rar) include for each species the following maps: Species distribution based on EUFORGEN natural species distributions (Caudullo et al., 2017) subsequently refined using the Spanish Forest Map integrated with the regions of provenance updated cartography, the Portuguese maps of Regions of Provenance, the Italian website on nature reserves (Raggruppamento Carabinieri Biodiversità, https://rgpbio.it/ ), and the locations of Genetic Conservation Units on test by October 2024. Morphological spatial pattern analysis (MSPA) map, which classifies the species’ distribution map into categories based on the connectivity among presence patches, distinguishing cores, edges, and additional structural elements such as islets, bridges, and branches. The following marginality indices maps based on Picard et al. (2022): Area index, Centroid index, Edge index, Isolation index, Second nearest core index, Gravity index, Isolation index, Climate index, North-South index and East-West index. The latter two indices were modified from the cited methodology by setting the species’ distribution centroid as the origin of the geographical axes. The computation of the Climate index was also adapted by incorporating additional algorithms for niche estimation and by scaling the index to produce a dimensionless range. The file GenSignaturesofPopMarginality.R consist of a R studio script used to compute the relative importance of the marginality indices as predictors of genetic indicators based on an all-subsets approach to model selection and implemented using Dplyr and MuMIn R packages.
