This data set contains the following measures: Demographics Boredom Proneness Scale (BPS; Farmer & Sundberg, 1986) State Boredom Measure (Todman, 2013) Task Ratings and Feeling Ratings: Using an ad hoc measure, participants were asked to rate how anxiety-provoking, amusing, boring, enjoyable, or tedious the task was, using a 5-point Likert scale ranging from not at all to extremely. They were also asked how anxious, amused, bored, annoyed, or enjoyable they felt in the present on a 5-point Likert scale ranging from not at all to extremely. Time Progression and Temporal Estimation: Using an ad hoc measure, participants were asked to indicate how fast they thought time progressed on a 5-point Likert scale ranging from time flew to time dragged. They were also asked to estimate how long they thought the task lasted in minutes and seconds. Assumption of Deception: The following yes-no question was added at the end of the questionnaire: “do you think this study used deception?”. Influence of Confederate and Experimenter: In a yes-no format, Participants were asked whether the confederate’s and the experimenter's presence influenced their task performance. If the participant answered that either or both did, they were asked whether the presence of the confederate or experimenter positively or negatively influenced their task performance. <br>
