资源简介:
Research HypothesisWe hypothesized that ioversol‑enhanced micro‑CT enables in vivo hematoma visualization in a mouse ICH model, and that preoperative micro‑CT localization can guide hematoma evacuation to improve functional recovery and reduce neuroinflammation.
What the data showsConventional CT could not detect hematomas, and neurological scores poorly reflected actual hematoma volume. A 1:10 ioversol‑to‑blood ratio allowed clear micro‑CT visualization without increasing injury. Preoperative CT-guided evacuation reduced hematoma volume, improved mNSS and beam test performance, and lowered TNF‑α, IFN‑γ, and IL‑6 levels.
Notable findingsNeurological scores are insufficient for assessing hematoma size. The 1:10 contrast ratio is optimal for micro‑CT. CT-guided evacuation is feasible and correlates with better functional recovery and reduced inflammation.
InterpretationThe model enables reliable, objective hematoma monitoring. Improved outcomes likely result from reduced secondary injury and neuroinflammation after clot removal. Micro‑CT offers a practical alternative to MRI for preclinical ICH research.
Data collection & useData were obtained from mice with stereotactic ICH induction, micro‑CT imaging, surgery, blinded behavioral tests, and ELISA. Raw data include imaging files, behavioral scores, and cytokine results. They can be used to reproduce the model, test ICH therapies, and study neuroinflammation.
