Dynamics of Miscanthus spp. overwinter leaf litter drop and decomposition – microbiome analysis

This study compares microbiome analysis of litter decomposition from six Miscanthus genotypes to better understand their comparative potential contribution to carbon cycling across a range of morphologies. The analysis included a 16S bacterial population of Miscanthus leaf litter decomposition. The trail was planted in 2010 and the littler decomposition and microbiome data was collected in 2018 and 2019 The contents of the dataset include the raw fastq files and an Rscript to process the raw fasq files and obtain the processed data.
