Microscopy data for 'Equilibrium between nascent and parental MCMs protects replicating genomes'

Here, we find that surplus of chromatin-loaded MCMs safeguards replicating genomes by restraining the speed of replisomes. Using a combination of cell biology approaches, we show that daughter cells inherit surplus levels of MCMs from their mothers, which in turn, build up a stable nuclear pool of MCMs both by recycling chromatin-bound (parental) MCMs and synthesizing new (nascent) MCMs.
