Data Description Overview This dataset accompanies the manuscript titled "On the path to reference genomes for all biodiversity: laboratory protocols and lessons learned from processing the first 2000 species in the Sanger Tree of Life". Supplementary data for the manuscript contains three .csv files, which contain information on the DNA extractions, DNA fragmentations, and RNA extractions undertaken by the Tree of Life until 01/06/2024. Datasets Included: dna_extractions_dataset.csv: Contains data on DNA extractions, including sample identifiers and metadata, extraction methods, yields, and extraction status. dna_fragmentations_dataset.csv: Contains data on DNA fragmentations, including sample identifiers and metadata, links to the extractions, submission protocols used, and fragmentation statuses. rna_extractions_dataset.csv: Contains data on RNA fragmentations, including sample identifiers and metadata, extraction methods and quality metrics.
