Soil metagenomic sequences from long-term nitrogen fertilization experiment

This project investigates the effects of long-term nitrogen fertilization on soil microbial and viral communities, focusing on their roles in soil nitrification. Using metagenomic sequencing, we analyzed the composition and functional potential of soil archaea, bacteria, and viruses in agricultural soils subjected to 34 years of nitrogen fertilization. The dataset includes assembled metagenomic sequences, providing insights into microbial community shifts, viral diversity, and their contributions to nitrogen cycling under different fertilization treatments.
