Spatial extent of blue carbon ecosystems across China

I produced comprehensive maps of China mangrove, tidal marsh and flats, and seagrass based on existing multi-source data. The mangrove map was generated by merging recently developed mangrove maps of China with the China mangrove data derived from the world atlas of mangroves. The tidal marsh and flat map was generated by combining the maps of coastal ecosystem types including tidal marshes, salt marshes, Spartina alterniflora, and aquaculture ponds. The seagrass map was produced by appending newly discovered seagrasses to the China seagrass map derived from the existing global seagrass map from the UNEP World Conservation Monitoring Centre.
