Global Bemisia dataset release version 15 May 2017

THIS IS THE NEW REVISED VERSION. Mitochondrial cytochrome oxidase subunit one gene, partial cds, sequence data. The dataset was compiled to help researchers wanting to undertake a phylogenetic analysis of the Bemisia tabaci species complex; to assign unknowns to already identified members of the Bemisia tabaci species complex or to identify putative new species belonging to the complex. All sequences are available publicly through GenBank and all accession numbers are included. This new version of the dataset contains 544 unique Bemisi tabaci plus outgroup sequences . The sequences are 657 bases in length starting with GAAAATTAGAGGT (using Middle East-Asia Minor 1 DQ174535 as the alignment template). There are two files. The unaligned version contains all sequences as downloaded from GenBank 14 May 2017. The aligned version has been trimmed to 657 bases and two sequences that were in the reverse compliment orientation when downloaded from GenBank have been put into the correct orientation. There have been no further changes to the data.
