资源简介:
Study collaboration and funding were provided by the U.S. Department of the Interior, Bureau of Ocean Energy Management, Environmental Studies Program, Washington, DC under Agreement Number M13AC00012. These data relate to the coherence between infragravity wave heights and ambient motions at several locations over the shoals offshore of a cuspate foreland. Observations of water velocity and near-bottom pressure were obtained from upward pointing acoustic Doppler current profilers (ADCPs) at inner and outer swales, and ridges of Shoal E and Shoal D, offshore of Cape Canaveral, in the Florida Atlantic coast. Measurements were conducted during Fall 2013, Spring and Fall 2014, and Spring and Fall 2015. Mean water depth during all deployments was ~14 m. Pressure and velocity data were recorded in bursts of 1200, 2048, 2400, or 3600 data at 2 Hz. Pressure was measured ca. 1 m above the bed, whereas velocity profiles were obtained throughout the water column when possible. This collection also includes wave statistics (significant wave height, peak period, and peak direction), measured and predicted bound infragravity wave heights, and wavelet coherence spectra between water motions (water levels and velocities).
