Bird protection — Article 12 Birds range

Directive 2009/147/EC OF THE EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT AND OF THE COUNCIL of 30 November 2009 on the conservation of wild birds (codified version) The dataset indicates the Danish “range” area for bird species covered by Article 12 of the Bird Protection Directive. The area is calculated on 10×10km grid cells using Eionets Reporting Tool based on the distribution area in the data layer DK_Art12_birds_distribution. In accordance with the technical instruction for Article 12 reporting, grid has been used in the ETRS_1989_LAEA projection. The data base is species registrations under the NOVANA programme as well as species registrations from the Danish Ornitoligisk Association.
