Helsinki region station area buffers

The accessibility zones for train and metro stations in the Helsinki region indicate the distance between the stations along the crow road and the pedestrian traffic network. Circular bunkers tell you the distance of the station along the crow road, creating a clear and unified way of looking at the station area. Zones that reflect the distance of birds do not take into account the existing road network or the barrier effects of the environment. The station areas’ circular bunkers 1 000 m data have been formed from the centre of Helsinki railway and metro stations within a radius of 1000 metres along the crow road. The overlapping lines are connected. The centre point is mainly located in the middle of the quay area, taking into account the routes to the quay area. A separate open data has been created from the centre data. The circular buffet material and the centers of the round bunkers have been updated in autumn 2021. In network buffets, the road network and environmental barriers have been taken into account. The zones have been formed along the path of pedestrian traffic, which enables more detailed geospatial analysis. Network buffets are available for different metrics.
